NEW YORK, NY (August 2014) – This fall, canvas home will debut a capsule collection of furniture and accessories pieces designed by noted interiors stylist Kim Ficaro. For this collection, Kim brings her laid back sensibility, mixed with simple utilitarian design that is easily accessible for any home.
“Our collaboration with Kim was a natural progression as she has styled numerous catalogs for canvas home over the years,” says founder Andrew Corrie. “Kim’s aesthetic and design sense fits within canvas home’s philosophy and we are thrilled to add her unique pieces to our line.”
Made by artisans in upstate New York, the simple, streamlined coffee and side table have a white wash finish and dowel legs. In addition, the camping stool with a natural leather seat can be used in any part of the room. The oversized pillows, inspired by vintage African prints, are hand woven in India and contain a slight metallic thread. The pillows are available in three different sizes and colors are inspired by the earth, sand and sea. The ceramic bowls are made in New Jersey, can be used as decorative and or useful in the kitchen. The bowls are available in a modern matte black glaze as well as a cool grey glaze, which can be easily intermixed with other tabletop pieces.
“I’ve worked closely with Andrew Corrie and canvas home and have always been interested in designing functional product to add to the line,” says Ficaro. “I’m proud of the collection and think the pieces will work well in a variety of different homes and environments.”
Kim Ficaro’s capsule collection will be available this fall through the canvas home store in New York City.
About Canvas Home
Canvas Home was founded in 2008 by British designer and entrepreneur Andrew Corrie. Andrew’s vision was to encapsulate a certain duality between the fluid mix of the urban chic and the relaxed country environment. Therefore all of our Canvas Home products work wonderfully well in both settings. Many pieces in the collection were initially made to fulfill specific needs in Andew’s own home and after they passed this initial "test" they were then developed for the Canvas Home line. This simple task has allowed us to form a very intimate design philosophy and process. Andrew's mantra has always been: "The home is a blank canvas, let us help you paint a unique picture, reflective of the life you lead". For more information, please visit www.canvashomestore.com
